Pint on tap.Sniff sniff...graham crackers and marshmallow fluff..not too much chocolate...but more of a malted malt balls. Flavor falls a little short of the original expectation I created in my brain. Its thin and a mild disappointment to my soul.

$1.99 bottle, TWF. Clear dark brown with a small beige head. Nose smells pretty artificial: chocolate, caramel, candle wax, vanilla. Flavor is also artificial, though not a bad flavor. Caramel, chocolate, tobacco (probably vanilla, but the mix with everything else reminds me of tobacco), hazelnut. Actually, I kinda like this flavor, even though there seems to be very little naturally occurring here.

First let me say that a s'mores beer does not sound very appealing, even my better half, that loves smores, wouldn't even taste it. It s a bottle from saranac, so why not try? I have liked many of sarry's offerings over the last two decades and most were quite acceptable. I'd say sarry is one of the original companies that saw the profit in craft beer, it was their idea! WTF! YES! Smell is alarming, its quite sweet, almost like artificial smores from the fire. Aroma is sweet and candy perfume. Big shady dark beer, really dark brown presentation for he eye. Once I get over the smell, I tried a sip; it was coconut laced sweet cloying porter. And then that alarming thang comes in and supports the sweet near-cloying taste. Could not do another of these sweet dark coconut chocolate bombs, so one sided with sweetness and coconuts, shredded processed coconuts that is. One big sweet candy thicker mouth coating beer tasting experience. Come - on, you really want to call this a porter? More like a spiced veggie fruit nut kind of brew. Not a good representation of porter, heheh. JMHO, HAH

Tap @ BOT. Very sweet, light roasted malts mixed with vanilla ice cream. Bit of biscuits. Odd.

12oz bottle. In know it’s a gimmick beer but I have a soft spot for Saranac and I used to love Caramel Porter a long time ago. As expected a lot of artificial vanilla, burnt caramel, and sweet sugar. Again, artificial sugar aroma, not actual sugar. Flavor is less artificial aromas and just the base, lightly dull beer. Fizzy finish to it I don’t like it, I can drink it, it’s fake but at least it’s not actually tooth aching sweet beer.

From tap. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a small off white head. Aroma is vanilla and caramelish. Sweet. Lingering vanilla, floral and caramelish. Toasted and spiced far finish. Lasting citrusy into the far finish

Draft at Moo & Brew. Opaque dark brown color beige head. Aroma of Graham cracker, marshmallow chocolate. Taste is sweet rich toasted chocolate and crackers. Great S’mores approximation.
