Druhé pokračování piva Kopa pro našeho kamaráda a pražskou craftovou legendu Vavříka AG. Stavěli jsme opět na novozélandských chmelech Riwaka a Motueka a k nim letos přidali i Nelson Sauvin. Tohle pivo je zároveň oslavou čerstvé sklizně NZ chmele, který Kopě dává intenzivní charakter šťavnatého grapefruitu, limetek, rybízu, marakuji a dank tónů.

The second chapter of Kopa, brewed for our friend and Prague craft beer legend Vavřík AG on the occasion of his 62nd birthday. Built on New Zealand hops Riwaka and Motueka, this year enhanced with Nelson Sauvin, it celebrates the fresh NZ harvest with an intense profile of juicy grapefruit, lime, currant, passion fruit, and a touch of dank complexity.

On tap at Purkmister Sun in a Glass Bierfest, Purkmister brewpub, Plzeń, Friday 19th September 2025 after a walk from our campsite at Škodaland Plzeń into the city then back out after a couple of beers in the city. Pours milky yellow with a white head. A little berry fruit on the nose, perhaps tart like gooseberry, it's certainly fruity but also juicy. Good.

Can at Drinkoteka. Opaque yellow body, off-white head. Oaty, lemony, citric, herbal aroma. Creamy taste, peachy, citric, smooth, floral, NZ herbs, bit minerally, the herbal notes are well integrated and restrained and help things along, actually do enjoy the hop profile a lot, but the finish is a bit flat, so eh. Still, Vavřík got another good one from Michal!

Med-full body, med carbo. Lots of cereal char. Med bitterness, med-high sweet. Light zesty. Malt in background, oaty center, and random exotic and citrusy hops splattered over the top. Good in what it does, not my fav tho.
