Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown to pitch black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Huge coffee nose with light cream and milk chocolate aromas in the background. Smooth and silky on the palate with the abv hidden well. Coffee roast, cacao nib and latte notes permeate the palate. Really great.

Rather tame for a decadent Imperial Stout, muted both on the stout and the adjunct sides. Nose offers strong chocolate with a tiny hit of booze, and the pour is sufficiently black and boisterous. Yet the flavor never really develops much beyond basic stout notes; predominately chocolate, with nary a java bean in sight, growing a mild dark cherry-fig sweetness as it warms. Finishes semisweet, with a rich cocoa nib dryness, but the roasted boozy indulgence you want from an Imperial Stout never comes through. Decent, but much better options are out there.

Pour is a thick motor oil black with a large tan head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with some burnt caramelized dark sugar. Flavor is chcocolate and some of the vanilla with a heavy sweet roasted malt. I did not get much of the coffee but there is plenty of chocolate and vanilla along with a rich roasted malt. No dry chared malt here, this is nice and roasted with some sweet but flavorful adjuncts.

Can from Salud. Jet black oily color, of course, large dark brown head with good retention, see pic please. Vanilla dominates the aroma, with chocolate next, then coffee. Vanilla dominates the taste too, with dark roast coffee. Thin body. Tasty enough.
