Hop Pursuit is the ultimate celebration of Oregon agriculture and Pacific Northwest Hops. Our brewers shoot a wonderfully hoppy surplus of Cascade, Mosaic, Equinox, and Simcoe into the fermenter using our Hop Shooter, dry hopping the beer and enhancing the aroma of pineapple and late hop flavors. Piney and mango notes follow with a mid-palate hint of honey. Two-Row Northwest Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts provide the right amount of malt character. Balanced by a clean, caramel malt body, Hop Pursuit’s multi-layered hop flavors lead to a crisp, assertive finish. Like the Pacific Northwest, this IPA has hops for days.

Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is grassy hops and soft tropical fruits with grainy malt and a floral/perfumed aspect. Flavour is moderate sweet with a decent bitterness. Body is medium. Decent and drinkable as a beer, flavour is alright, but not a good IPA at all.

12oz bottle from Top Shelf Liquors, Cottonwood, AZ. A hazy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; pleasantly floral, citrusy aroma; quite lively in the mouth with some chewy malts and nicely balanced hops bringing some tropical fruit and resinous pine; then a crisp, but short-lived, finish. A well balanced IPA.

Bottle from Albertsons. Nothing stands out here, pretty average all around. Clear, bright golden, small ring of head. Light aroma focuses on hops, light citrus notes. Taste is mildly sweet, some tropical essence as well. Light lingering bitterness.

Staff gave me a sample of this and warned me that it has a Bud Light hop profile. Not far from the truth. Golden color. Papery aroma. Light sweet taste.

355ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Sweet, floral aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, peach, caramel malt and pine. Sweet, fruity flavour of grapefruit, orange, mango, peach, pineapple, caramel malt, biscuit and pine with a dry, bitter, slight resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A solid IPA.

Draft: Caramel colored pour with a small sandy head. Light citrus and floral aroma, more citrus in the taste. Maltier in the tail and fairly mild bitters.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy gold copper with a small frothy off white head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops grapefruit and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and a bit watery with citrus in the finish. A decent Pale Ale from Full Sail.

Bomber pours clear copper with tan head. This playful aroma seems to be hiding behind the couch and refuses to come out. I get light notes of citrus orange peel and lime like hoppiness as well as some spicy hops and a sense of sweet fruity hard candy. The taste has a moderate level of bitter grapefruit and lime like citrus hops and then rolling into spicy and citrus hop flavor. Into the finish the largely citrus hop bitterness and flavor are joined by a thin river of sweet malts.
