These are / will be beers matured on new Bulgarian oak barrels.
This type of wood has characteristics of both American oak and French oak; beautiful vanilla keys paired with spicy oak keys.
Through maturing these beers for six months in these casks, they get incredibly beautiful wood / vanilla flavors.
The practice will learn us which beers will eventually come in the ‘pure oak series’; We already know that above all blond beers come into their own with this kind of barrel aging.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Nice woody aroma with vanilla from the oak, malt, softly spicy. Ripe fruits including some apricot and orange. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is medium and lightly creamy. Good! Finesse is very fine Tripel and this oaked mutation adds an interesting dimension to the beer.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange, dark golden to amber colour with minimally late awakening, average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Woody and minimally spicy aroma, wheaty and pale malty background, weak, yeasty fruity overtones, notes of oak, a touch of vanilla, whiffs of apricot. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and wheaty malty, woody and minimally spicy, minimally yeasty fruity, notes of oak, a touch of vanilla, apricot, weak tannic tartness. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very, very oaky, accordingly slightly imbalanced and rather monotonous - not bad, though.

Bottle drunk in the basement cinema. Golden color with light haze, huge head even with tilted pouring. Very fragrant nose with caramel biscuit, vanilla, pina colada craziness. Wow that's something! The flavor is a big melange of complex goodness from rummy raisin/plum to toffee, with dry bitterness at the tail end to counteract that sweetness. Excellent chewy dessert treat.
