On tap at City Beer. Pours with a deep brown, near black body with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are roasty, molasses, strongly spicy, nearly a minty hop note, lightly estery. Flavors are earthy, spicy, grainy, estery and dry. Lightly minty hop profile (northern brewer?), nicely roasty, medium bitter, dry finish. Roasted notes impact flavors of coffee and nuttiness in this beer. Lively bubbles, dry, very crisp finish with a light lingering bitterness.
