Can from Dan: mahogany brown with huge head. Aroma is maple, nutty, maltiness. Taste is lightly sweet. Not too bitter. Malty. Easy and fine.

Bottle. A clear, brown color with a three finger head. Aroma is grains and a little to the malty side. Taste was a lttle bitter than I care for.

Draught @ Jojo's Restaurant and Taphouse, Frederick, MD. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel. Roasty and malty flavour with notes of caramel and maple syrup and nuts. Slightly acidic and estery aftertaste. A decent Brown Ale.

Slightly hazy, muddied brown coloured body with a tint of amber and ruby and a small off-white head. Aroma of maple, toasted malt, caramelised sugars and a bit of earth - relatively nice. Medium-bodied; Very assertive maple syrup flavours with a lot of earth and grain, some lighter toffee and caramelised sugar notes and a bit of mellow funk noticeable at the end. Aftertaste shows the caramelised sugars, a good deal of earth and a light flavour of maple syrup. Overall, a surprisingly nice beer with a lot of good flavours and nothing really bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 01-September-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Upstate (New Paltz), New York on 23-November-2016.
