A stout tricked out with all sorts of breakfast ingredients including Guatemalan Antigua cold press coffee, Maple syrup harvested from Western Massachusetts and for the quintessential Delaware breakfast touch - Rapa Scrapple and their secret blend of spices.
2-row Applewood smoked barley, Kiln Coffee malt, Flaked oats, Roasted barley, Caramel malt along with additions of Molasses, Milk Sugars (lactose), Brown Sugar, Roasted Chicory lay the foundation for this malty, breakfast-themed concoction. Enjoy huge notes of coffee in the nose and savory layers in the flavor.

Dark brown. This has a bit of a burnt toffee nose, On the palate, has a burnt taste...that’s the chicory I guess. Medium body. It’s an ok stout. I can’t say there is much scrapple character here. So ends up being an okay stout with a light toffeeish fruitiness.

Shame on Dogfish Head for not making it clearer what this beer contains. Sure, it's marked as having scrapple in it, but for those who aren't familiar with the term, it's rather elusive. As a vegan, I would never have bought this if I had known what it was. Not impressed. 12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out chili peppers, smoke and light toasted malt. Flavour is fairly smoky upfront, with notes of bacon, low-grade meat and toasted malt. It's fine, but my rating will be low to protest this lame marketing decision (or lack thereof).

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours very dark brn/blk with a small dark tan head. The aroma of coffee is intense. There’s something herbaceous/spicy that assaults the nose. Full bodied. It’s smoky. There’s maple lurking. The spice is hard to figure. From the intense coffee? Are we taking intense herbs? Very intense flavors. Not to forget the chocolate. Really different and very intensely tasty.

Works well in early afternoon too, of course. Roasty and delicious.

Breakfast beer, best cure for crippling depression. More like coffee with a side of breakfast.

Bottle. Black pour with a creamy, tan head. The aroma has some coffee, chocolate and a bit of smoke. The flavor has some roast malt bitterness, a bit of espresso and molasses. OK, but I was disappointed that this wasn’t better. The flavor lacked spunk and just kind of laid there.

Draft at Timothy’s. Dark and sweet. A melange of smells and flavors, Sunday breakfast in drinkable form. Oily feel, lingering sweetness. Really nice.

Draft @ WOB near UCF. Pours dark brown/black color with brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some smokiness. Similar flavors. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of chicory, roast, licorice, and almost a medicinal minty scent. Taste is heavy on the chicory, roasted malt, licorice, molasses, hints of smoke and some savory scrapple/pork notes. Weird. Don’t think I’d want another.

Bottle. Chicory, coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Moderately sweet coffee, chocolate malt and moderately bitter chicory/hay flavor. Nice balance - very smooth. Better than the regular.
