On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy ruby with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, spice, oak. Thin body, funky, cherry, oak, tart finish, very good.

Bottle from Salud, shared on Thanksgiving. Hazy reddish color, light pink head. Aroma has dusty overripe cherry, light vanilla, citrus. Taste is softly sour cherry, lemon, tannins, funk. Very tasty. Makes me want to buy more and store it to see what happens.

Draught at the brewery. Pink- red, tart, lots of fresh morello cherry, bit of pitty bitterness and spice. Complex and delicious, a classic fruit ale.

Bottled 9/15. 12C. Clear deep red with a just pink head that’s soon at the rim. Aroma is nicely integrated - can’t really tell where the cherries slip from sweet to tart to what’s not cherry at all. Untamed but mellow, has a funky woody character recognisable from the first time I tried the apple porter. Medium bodied, slightly slippery, low carbonation. I would have liked a few more bubbles. Taste: the richness of the cherries is brought out by quite sour beer underneath, which also has some apricot stones and/or almonds, stems. Sour but not quite dry, no bitterness. Nice but not spectacular fruit. Good balance but there’s not a lot of depth. A second glass is softer - maybe an indication that waiting a while would have been a good idea. This is very good. No bonus points for woad-daubed artisanship or ’no-one believed’.

(Bottle) Amazing looking beer - clear deep red with dense pink head. Good sour beer aroma with brettanomyces barnyard and earthy, oaky, vinous notes. Medium body with great carbonation. Very well balanced flavour with sour fruitiness offset against complex barnyard brettanomyces, earthy, spicy and woody notes. This is reminiscent of a Belgian lambic but with added fruitiness. The cherry flavour is not as distinct as might be expected, but there is a good pervasive sour fruitiness. Fantastic beer.

Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a light pinkish head. The aroma has notes of sour cherries, brettanomyces, and lacto. The flavor is acidic with notes of sour cherries, brettanomyces, lacto, and wood, leading to a tart finish. The body is a bit light. Thanks Jay for this gem.
