Biotransformed IPA with Sabro, Citra & Mosaic hops
New Slang 9, the latest from our resident hop-minded team, combines a healthy heap of Sabro, Citra, and Mosaic with a couple newfangled hop extracts and oils. Beyond helping brewing efficiency, they amp up the tropical and citrus fruit notes of the hop pellets, braced with a pleasant dankness and semi-dry finish. Show Less

Pale amber, slight haze. Thin head. Moderate bitterness, a touch of biscuity malt, and itβs fairly estery.

Gold, stark white head. Light piney nose. Dank piney citrus profile, somewhat thin. Lacks residual sweetness, more like a brut. Poorly balanced

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 09/09/2025). Clear yellow gold with white head. Oily, mild grassy hops, feint cat pee, soft yeasty biscuit malt. Okay.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose has some allium, some herbaceous hops, light vegetal hops, and a weird yeasty character. Flavour is much the same, with some herbaceous hops, a weird yeasty character, and allium. Not a fan of the hop or yeast expression. Not great, as is usually the case with these New Slang beers.
