Small cream to beige head over virtually black beer. Roasted malts in abundance, bit of coffee and black chocolate. Smells very dry, but not very hoppy. Bitterish, roasted to ashy flavour. Very dry, despite some hints at restsugars backthroat. Again not really hoppy in character, if pretty balanced. Black chocolate returning. Feels pretty light and even watery, certainly seen its claimed 6.2%. Not a bad beer by any standard, but a black IPA ought to have its emphasis on something else than on malts. Many thanks to Aga!

Bouteille 50cl de The Beer Store, Warsaw. BB 02/05/2015.

Fruchtiger, hopfig bitterer Antrunk. Frisch, angenehme Röstnoten, steigende Bitterkeit. Rund grasig, intensiv röstmalziger Nachgeschmack. Gut! 11/12/11/12/10/12

Butelka 0.5l (02.05.2015). Barwa niemal czarma, jasnobezowa, gesta czapa piany ladnie zdobi szklo. Swietny lacing.

Bottle @ Post-Easter Procrastination, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy coffee brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of chocolate and hops. Bitter and roasty flavour, with notes of hops, lactose, chocolate and nuts. Touches of yeast. Roasty aftertaste. Quite nice, but is it a black IPA?
