22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 6/12/15, Batch #2, Bottled 2/18/13
Press a dark brown color with a slight orange hue and a small head. The aroma is sweet, dark malts, some bozzy notes, chocolate, and funk. Tastes rather funky and a little sweet. Medium-full body, average carbonation. Decent, but maybe a bit too much going on.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Brown color, medium sized head. Nice complex aroma, cellar, leather, chocolate, a bit funky, fruity. Dry and astringent mouthfeel; the flavor is composed by dark malts, dark fruits, and it has moderate sourness. A solid brew.
Very good.

22oz high shoulder bomber pours with a murky mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up molasses mixed with sweet fruity esters and then quickly getting into a sort of woody soured cherry like fruitiness. The taste starts breifly smooth and slick and sweet with malts and molasses. It then plows straight into modest sour notes that seem to be brown sugar dusted sour cherries and sour green apples. This has some sourness but it doesn’t overwhelm or get abrasive.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out light sour red fruits, a little rye, and oak. Flavour is complex, with light whiskey and rye, lightly tart red fruits, and a touch of vinegar. Really well-balanced, oaky and lightly tart. Excellent.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark ruddy brown with a tan head. Aroma is funk/sour citrus? Or dark fruits? Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is malty/funky and mildly sour with something herbal in a strong way. Certainly not a Flemish red, but it has some of those qualities. Pretty different flavor set, but it tastes good. Seems to develop red berry with time.

Bottle recommended by Dan of Village Market and Bistro, thanks! Dark hazy brown color, large bright tan head. Aroma of vanilla, candied cherries, subtle background of whiskey. Taste is just very softly sour dark fruit, berries, vanilla, with tannins coming in toward the finish. Pretty tasty.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 2/18/2014. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big sour cherry, green apple, lemon, red grape, plum, fig, date, red wine vinegar, leather, vanilla, oak, toffee, toast, molasses, cocoa, light whiskey, musty funk, hay, straw, grass, light pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, fruity/funky yeast, and moderate whiskey barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart cherry, green apple, lemon, red grape, plum, fig, date, red wine vinegar, leather, vanilla, oak, toffee, toast, molasses, cocoa, light whiskey, musty funk, hay, straw, grass, light pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/earthy tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, green apple, lemon, red grape, plum, fig, date, red wine vinegar, leather, vanilla, oak, toffee, toast, molasses, cocoa, light whiskey, musty funk, light pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity/funky yeast, and moderate whiskey barrel flavors; with a great sweetness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent barrel aged wild ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, fruity/funky yeast, and moderate whiskey barrel flavors; and very smooth and fairly crisp to sip on for the ABV with the moderate acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a mahogany colored body that has copper edges and supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up tart fruitiness as well as sweetness that has a molasses and brown sugar like sense to it. The taste delivers a pleasing mix of molasses and brown sugar and tart sort of cherry fruitiness. This is surprising drinkable, balanced and delicious.
