Geez—not another IPA! That’s right, this is not just another IPA. Consider it a next generation IPA. A slightly sweet, lower ABV, IPA providing welcome relief from the onslaught of bitter hop-bombs out there. Its complex aromatic layers—suggest mango, melon, pine and berries—are driven by Mosaic and Citra hops which are then balanced by an acidulated and pilsner malt bill. Finally, its silky smooth mouthfeel will leave you asking for “mo.”

Thank you BuckeyeBoy! 355 ml. can sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is orange, mango, peach, hoppy, bread-like malt base. Taste is bit sweetish orange peel upfront, toffee, sugar, candy, bit too sweet for what it should be, low pine. Malty body with some sugar. Decent but a bit too sweet for sure.

Pour is a murky orange with a large white head. Aroma is a decent mix of fruity hops. I get honeydew melon the most. Flavor is much like the aroma with some melon flavored hops a clean almost bready pils malt with almost no bitterness. Sure this is just another IPA but this is more of my kind of IPA. No sweet caramel malt an some fruity hops.

Draft. Cloudy deep golden body. Huge frothy off-white head, fully lasting. Aroma of pine, citrus, orange, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Floral taste alongside citrus, pine. Aspirin bitterness in the finish and that aftertaste killed it for me. Lots of potential here.

12 oz can. Pours a copper color with moderate head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine and bready malts. Flavors of grapefruit, sweet biscuity malts, and a little candied fruit, maybe melon. Pleasant and clean without hops overkill, really nice, but lots of other IPAs just like this now so time for a name change...

Can from Craft Beer Kings. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is fruit, but it suggests dankness. Fruit seems tropical and melon. Med ++ body. Flavor is suggesting dank, and it’s mango/melon. Not even thinking pale stone fruits. I’m going with dank. There’s mild caramel backbone, and off and on some citrus, but let’s just say dank fruits. How weird is that? Sufficiently. Liking this one.

Cloudy golden color, medium head. Very nice aroma, pungent hops. Dry mouthfeel; bready and crispy malts, a bit obtrusive though; lots of citrus peel, lemon and cedar.
Very good.
