Crisp and bright copper and bronze coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light bread, yeast, grain and a touch of carmaelised sugars, but nothing major - perhaps some apples and stone fruits along the way as well. Light-bodied; Sharpish, strong malty and biscuity malt notes with some of the malted barley, a dash of flowers and some dryness, but relatively focused on the malt with a nuanced yeast bite towards the finish that if anything shows some cardboardie notes and complexities. Aftertaste shows some soft balances with fruits, dry notes, light malt and a touch of sugar towards the end, mostly from treacle and caramelised sugars, but some from fruits. Overall, a soft and malty, yet yeastie beer with a mellow kick of low alpha acid hops and little else - fairly subdued and grassy/dry, but not horribly complex by any means. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-March-2018 sampled a bit more than two years later, at my house here in Washington on 04-July-2020 on Independence Day 2020, while enjoying an all-american beer!

Bottle from vintage $2. Mellow aroma, like its gonna be a little tart or taste like a berliner. Pale yellow. Fresh easy taste, quite better than expected but its no berliner, its a berliner wannah bee. If it is a lighter belgian, its got a little bit of a processed feel about it. Quite civilized overall and personally I think its a lot better than that merry monks they make. Overall, not bad, pleasantly surprised. Yes, most likely something between a berliner and a five civilized belgian.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is lightly hazy, pale yellow (urine-like), with nice sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, fruity esters, yeast, spice. Taste is light sweet fruity esters, cracker, tart yeast, bitter. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and arid, yeasty, bitter finish. Overall, the sweet doesn't stand up to the bitter/yeast quality.

Pear and oat nose. Clear yellow, thin head. Pear and light oaty malt. Some medicinal phenols on the back end and when quaffed. Light body, moderate carbonation. Solid table beer.

Interesting take on a Belgian Single, almost a Single-Pilsner hybrid, with a sweet, yeasty Belgian soul mixed with bright pale malts and a mild but firm floral hop finish. Banana-clove front on top of sliced bread, with a citrus-and-apple-tinted backbone shoring up the back end. Ugly as hell and a bit flat, but otherwise not a bad beer, definitely suitable for hot summer days. Better than it scores.

Taste like Merry Monks, minus the super booze. Nice.

Keg at the brewery. Clear pale golden, medium creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, grass, herbal notes, yeast. Taste is lemon, dandelion, spice, yeast, dry apricot. Medium bodied, refreshing. Very nice. Could crush this.

12oz bottle. I guess this is a Belgian Pale Ale? Thinnish filtered orange-tan body. Thin, fading head. Estery, peppery yeast tones. Drinks pretty big and not so mellow for the 4.5% ABV. Bright, phenolic, astringent yeast tones. Not really that enjoyable of a beer, but not that poorly made either.

Draft. Hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of raw bread dough and light spice. Taste has mild fruit, light funk. Easy drinking.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast with some banana and clove hidding in the background. Flavor is more Belgian yeast esters and some grain with a little sweetness on the end. This was a tasty Belgian ale. Kind of Belgian single with a little German hefe to it.
