On tap @ Birdsong with jcnielsen. Pours a hazy reddish brown appearance with a tan head. Toast, nuts, and a bit of smoke in the nose. Quite sweet. Shit, it finishes very sweet. Kind of jumps up on you. Toffee offered as well. Some Fuggles. No.

A hazed brown ale with a thin creamy mocha head. In aroma, nice roasted coffee malt with floral hops, very nice. In mouth, good roasted malt with coffee grind, nice hopping, well done.

Location: Draft at Revolution, 12/9/12
Aroma: The nose has some nutty notes, toasted malts, some earth, and a little spice
Appearance: This one pours a light brown color with a small head and some heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose, malty and nutty, with light sweetness and light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a solid mouthfeel, and a fairly average carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought it was pretty good. I didn't get a ton of chocolate, and thus, I didn't mention it, but there's a little bit present. Overall, this is another nice offering from Birdsong. I enjoyed both of their beers that I tried on my trip to Charlotte, and will certainly look for their stuff in the future when I'm back in the area.
