Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head dissipates to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt and caramel, with touches of smoke and hops. The finish is peaty malt and caramel that does not linger long. Pretty average overall.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a mahogany color with a small khaki head. The aroma was light roasty malts with nut, cola and a faint fruity presence. The flavor was malty and nutty with a hint of molasses, cola and a hint of dark fruits. Medium length malty, cola and fruity finish. Medium body. Ok.
