Amra, Sanskrit for mango, begins with a very pale West Coast-style IPA devoid of caramel malt character to allow the fruity aromas and flavors of Simcoe & Glacier hops to take center stage and meld perfectly with unreasonable amounts of mangos added to this fruit beer with attitude.

Can. Slightly hazy gold with a white head. Light citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Some pine resin, but again light. Lightly bitter citrus hop flavor. Very little Mango. OK, but not their best IPA.

Can from Glasbanken. Hazy orange with a medium white head. Kind of mild with hops, mango, grass and caramel. The body was medium and the bitterness low.

Can. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, dry but with a creamy sweetness. Smooth cooling pine. Light dry mango. Modest ripe citrus. Smooth finish. A tad dry but there is enough about this to make it quite drinkable.

Another ubiquitous IPA in a can, its enough to make me want to give up beer. IPA now replaces american pale lager for the cheap ubiquitous cans. At least this version has a decent alky kick to make it worth my while. Cold can into glass results 1/4 liquid and 3/4 foam. Mild clean flowery aroma. Taste is what else? Just a big nasty bitter mess of terribly on style IPA with a slight astringent kick. Perhaps i'm interpreting the mango as the sharp thang. Its so over the top I don't even notice there is any carbonation on the palate. There you have it, the self made UT expert beer rater's favorite beer.

12 oz can which was an Easter gift. Best by date on the bottom of the can was smeared. The pour is golden yellow, mostly clear, with a one inch egg white head that is lasting. Falls slow with thick lace. The aroma is juicy mango fruit, acidic citrus, and soft cereal malt notes. The taste is big on the mango fruit, peel, fruit, and general bright citrus. There is some grass, and the cereal of the malt towards the back. The palate is medium bodied, sort of a husky, fruit skin mouth feel and finishing with grass and bitterness. Tasty beer.

Can from City Hops. Pours faintly cloudy golden with large foamy off-white head, faint citrus aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter grassy hops taste with mango flavor, thin body, long hoppy finish. Interesting; not a dank IPA but rather like a West Coast IPA with mango addition.
