Dirty Little Freak Coconut Caramel Chocolate Brown Ale, first brewed in 2014, takes the traditional American Brown Ale and gives it a sensual new twist – Coconut! This medium-bodied, 5.8% ABV brown ale is a feast for the senses from its dominant blend of warm, roasted malt, coconut, caramel, and chocolate flavors barely restrained by a gentle hop bite, to its tantalizingly satisfying finish.

Pours brown and bubbly with a thick tan head. Aroma of nutty malt. Taste has chocolate, nut butters, roasted coffee and malt. Palate has nuts on the nose, slight toasted coconut. Good.

Bland and thin, offering up sweet initial notes of coconut and chocolate before fading into mild toasted malt nothingness, finishing with a hint of toast and banana. Not offensive, but not interesting in the slightest.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is a bit of a puzzler. Chocolate. Caramel. Toasty coconut. Vanilla? Something else anyway. Med body or so. Flavor leads with toasty coconut. There’s caramel malt. Not a lot of chocolate. But coffee? Could be. Dryer than expected. It’s bitter, and perhaps that suggests the coffee. Not a breakfast drink IMHO. Nice.

Part 2 of what has coincidentally turned into Maryland beer night. Very dark brown with a creamy light beige head. Aroma full of milk chocolate and coconut. Taste is mildly sweet, burnt tropical, full of coconut, coffee and roasted caramel. Medium body with mild carbonation. Light stickiness. The coconut works nicely here. Pretty good.

Pours dark brown and smells very malty with chocolate, caramel, and coconut. It tastes sweet and malty. I noticed more chocolate than anything though the coconut is in there too. Medium bodied. There's enough hops to keep it from being a sugar bomb. Pretty tasty.
