Harvested from an early 1970’s orchard in Blackford, Somerset, this cyder is slightly more tannic than our signature No.1 Kingston Black.
Our cider is spelt with a ‘y’ to preserve the old West Country tradition, originating from a time when it was used to indicate superior strength and quality.

375ml bottle from The Newt in Somerset. Sparkling, golden colour, short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple, caramel, bittersharp. Taste is sweet & tart, tangy, appley, juicy fruits, caramel note, with some bitter tannin. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, medium drying bittersharp tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
