We endowed this straight-up juice bomb with a double dry hop of Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado and Azacca for a blast of mango, stone fruit, lime and pine aromas. It’s not a mirage, but a tasty refreshing oasis in your pursuit of haziness.

Pours a very hazy pale golden, slightly murky. Medium sized, large-bubbled frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: a cerealy, white bread base, fruity hop notes of mainly mango plus lighter grapefruit and tangerine, a bit of grassiness. Feels pleasantly fresh. Taste notes as per aroma, with the grassy, slightly piney feel a bit more prominent. Medium to high in both sweetness and bitterness, with a soft sweet prominence in the mouth and a slightly sticky bitter edge in finish/aftertaste. Slightest hint of hop burn. Medium bodied with average or slightly above average fine bubbled carbonation; overall a simple quite lively mouthfeel. Very much your average hazy ipa in my eyes.

OK, it's a cheap can of IPA. All IPA should be cheap, they are all imitations of each other and after all, it's a man's kind of drink, no? Of course, it pours hazy pale, otherwise why call it hazy? Just asking. Yea, it smells like a fresh cut pine tree with all its sappy glory when you pop the lid. Taste is the same; hey, let's drink a beer that tastes like the sap of a pine tree? Why not? You got to enjoy it, no? Well, this is what you have here, another state-of-the-art IPA that tastes like a gahzillion other IPA out there. Negative effects on the mouthcoating attributes. Oh well. Sometimes I think sweetwater is a little behand the times, but I know they have a couple of other IPA out there that tastes pretty much the same. Long live IPA and: Long live the bitter pine tree finish. There you have it. Go figger.
