A Sour Ale with Cranberries aged for one year in a Laird's Apple Brandy barrel. For the base beer, Little Mad Beloved, we used a uniquely aromatic base malt and a large percentage of roasted oat malt for the base of this red ale. Lactobacillus and Cranberries added during fermentation brings a refreshing tartness and a dry finish. The yearlong rest in the barrel adds notes of cherries, apple brandy, and pie spice.
