(Keg at Cafe Pacifico Kalevankatu, 20251217) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had smoke, ash, burnt malts and dark chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, smoke, ash, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, smoke and bitterness. A tasty burnt brew with quite subtle smoked features.

Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is toffee, some toasted and mild cherry tones with some smoked wood and mild chocolaty tones. Flavour is chocolaty, some mild toasted tones with a bit wooden and a bit mocha as well as smoked wooden tones to it. Smooth and nice. Mild spiciness. Drank at room temperature, and nothing to regret, worked really well.

Bottle, as Julenetter 2025. Roasted malts, coffee hints, burnt notes, hints of alcohol and some dark dried fruit. Spiced. Smoked too, but it took some time to notice. Quite nice actually. 747414 251128

Two bottles, as Pohjala Julenetter 2025, shared with friends in Bodø. Deep mahogany coloured body, beige head, and fair lacing. Attractive on the nose with earthy chocolate malts and caramel, lightly smoked. Dark malt-forward taste, moments of chocolate, wood, and caramel. Lingering finish, lightly smoked. Well bodied sipper. Best in our Yuletide beer test. (Svenskebyen, Bodø 28.11.2025).
