Made with generous portions of rye, blackstrap molasses, and caraway seed, Silent Neighbor Stout is more than meets the eye. Named as an homage to our neighbors in the historic Mount Olivet Cemetery, this stout has a hearty richness shrouded in mystery. It opens with notes of rye, chocolate, and roasted barley blended with rich molasses and subtle fruity bitterness. This whole grain belly warmer is the perfect haunt for any season.

Short pour in Alexandria with some good pizza.

Matte black & brown opaque meld. Extra frothy.
Cocoa & oily coffee nose.
Taste is soft & bittersweet babka, with some very slight bitter coffee grounds & pizza dough char.
Fluffy, off-dry, slightly belly warming, subtle acidity.

Kinda good.

Keg at the Atlas taproom, DC, 13/04/23. Black with a tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, toffee, light charr, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, molasses, roast malts, spice, raisins, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough stout if nothing to get excited about.
