Dropping our newest core beer, our take on the Irish Red Ale, brewed with Island-grown @fieldfivefarm malts!

Originally a pilot release, we love this one so much we are keeping it around! Packed with toasty malt aromas, faint caramel sweetness, and balanced hop character, Island Red Ale is a sessionable brew nitrogenated to pay homage to the iconic draught pints of Irish and UK pub culture. Nitrogen, or smooth flow, creates an ultra-creamy mouthfeel, dense foam structure and a slightly dry palate-pleasing finish and is mesmerizing to watch settle in the glass.

On nitro tap. Pours a slightly hazy dark red amber with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves thick, sticky curtains of soapy lace. Mild aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel and floral hops. Flavour of roasted malt, caramel, cocoa and grassy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

On nitro tap at The Magnet, pours a clear dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is soft, with crusty, toasted bready malt… little else. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt, even a touch of roast, with a bitter, slightly metallic finish. A bit rough but it’s alright.
