Rompo is a twist on an Irish Red, using classic earthy UK hops and caramel malts. We gave it our own Tennessee take by adding flaked rye to the mash. Rompo is a very smooth drinking brew with notes of fruit and caramel, while the rye contributes a spicy and clean finish.

Can. Reddish-amber in color with medium sized head. Aroma is bread, with hints of grass and citrus. Taste is oh so slight fruit with hints of roasted grains and citrus. Well balanced with no bitter finish.

Can from Joe's Wine and Liquor, Memphis. Aroma is caramel malt with red fruits, sweet grain, and some rye. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. I expected more from this.

Shared 12 oz. can. Hazy amber color, off-white head. Malty aroma. Taste is malt, caramel. Finish is very sweet and malty. Didn't pick up the rye.

Tap @ Jackalope Brewing Company, Nashville. Copper with a thin head. It has a very palatable hop-malt balance despite its strength.

Light caramel and some rye. Light sweet finish. Amber pour with decent head and lacing. Light sweet perfumy finish like your jacket on the walk of shame after a one night stand.

Not sure what the goal is here, but the results aren’t spectacular. Muddled buttered caramel malts with a funky Euro-yeast undertone, growing sweeter and more off-putting as the pint warms. The rye is more of a feeling than a presence on the palate, leading to a harsh, underhopped finish. Flavors are pronounced, sure, but that doesn’t mean I understand what they’re saying.

Thanks to decaturstevo for this one. Hazy reddish dark amber body with a tall off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet malt with a peppery rye note. The flavor is mostly sweet malt start to finish.

Draft. Light berry and rye malt aroma. Amber with small head. Very sweet strawberry, toffee malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Not quite cloying but pretty sweet.
