Pours a pretty hazy dark golden to light amber, with a quite big pillowy head, that shows good retention and lots of lacing. Very intense though not very deep aroma: a very sweet mix of honey and fruitiness (mainly peach, lighter jam-like citric notes, possibly something tropical) feels very dominant, with light hints of spiciness, sourness and funkiness (dustiness) on the back. Much deeper in taste and again very intense. Very sweet with a light cereal base overcome by notes of honey and flowers (chamomille?); strong fruity notes as per aroma; strong spiciness (something that is not in my taste experience, definitely not your common notes of pepper, clove and such); light but not timid sourness with pleasant funky hints (dust, musty). Definitely a very sweet beer in the overall balance, probably too sweet. But the real flaw is with the finish/aftertaste, which is sticky sweet and quite unclean. Light to medium bodied, vivid carbonation, a very lively mouthfeel. Very peculiar, very complex, super interesting, but not well executed.

Pretty good Saison. Aroma’s yeast, wet green, pale malt and a hint of skunk. Flavor is better, slightly sweet and tangy up front, good carbonation and a little bitter and spicy in the Finish.

Bottle at Churchkey. Hazy to cloudy straw color, massive lively white head. Aroma has funk, dust, earth, and plenty of fruity esters. Taste is bready, funky, peppery straw and summer fruit. Hi carbonation. Delicious.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is super fruity with a ton of Belgian yeast character. Lots of overripe stone fruit and pears with hints of red apple, citrus and bubble gum. Medium light phenolics with some clove and coriander. Some tropical fruit notes of coconut, papaya and mango. Pours a hazy, copper orange with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to the edges where it lingers for quite a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some medium grain notes with some bread, cracker and biscuit. Medium high bitterness with hints of floral and woodsy hops. Light phenolic notes with some coriander and pink peppercorn. Quite a bit of floral and fruity esters with bubble gum, banana, stone fruit, light citrus notes, papaya, lillies or some similar flower and hints of red apple. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, this may be one of the best Fantome beers I have had recently. Such great complexity in the fruit and floral notes. Wonderful esters and phenolics. This reminds me a lot of pre-2010 Fantome bottles and I hope this is a trend to be continued.

Level 42 Bottle share. Thanks to Matteo. Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, some creamy sweetness. Spice. Floral vibe with a spot of soap. Touch of tropical fruits underneath. Banana esters. Light dry finish. Usual Fantome weirdness but not unpleasant.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Matteo. Pours hazy orange-gold with a creamy, white head. Big Belgian yeast nose, light citrus, grains. Medium sweet flavor with sugar, melon, white grape, wheat, dough, bubblegum. Medium bodied with average carbonation, sugary finish with more doughy wheat, lightly toasted sugars, grains, melon, faint tangerine. Fine.
