A Bellwoods take on spiced rum, this imperial stout was aged for a year in rum barrels with a melange of ginger, all spice, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise, nutmeg, and juniper berries. What has emerged is a refined, smooth, warming, and lethally delicious spiced stout that’ll induce sharp pangs of nostalgia long after your final bottle is empty. And though it’s our highest alcohol beer to date, you’ll find the beauty is in the balance.

Draft @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty spicy woody chocolate rum herbal aroma. Roasted malty woody bitter herbal flavor. Has a fruity malty woody chocolate bitter rum finish.

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen (Bellwoods TTO) - Black pour with nice creamy beige head. Sweet and roasted malty with some notes of chocolate and caramel, some charred burnt malty notes, opulent rich resonating rum into the dark malty finish. Gorgeous!

Draught at Himmeriget. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, rhum barrel, spiced notes and dark malts. Taste is sweet with a spicy hint from the rum barrel. Lovely barrel ageing.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge convention 05/03/2016. Thanks to Fin. A dark black coloured pour with a small mid tan head. Aroma is spicy, black liquorice, oak, nutmeg. Flavour is composed of woody tannin, black thick black malts, liquorice, dark choc, harsh wood. Lasting bitter liquorice. Palate is medium full bodied, sticky viscous. Good stuff.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma is fairly strong nose, a lot of alcohol on the nose, This has a lot of alcohol, roast, nice date-like, plummy fruitiness. Honestly, I like it. It has a rummy note, it’s complex and strong. Not bad.
