Today at opening and currently available for preorder on our Square Site, we are releasing the latest expression of Black Mamba (2025), a 12% Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout aged for 30 months in a freshly emptied Knob Creek barrel.

Black Mamba is our reserve selection of stout barrels that reach a ‘next level’ evolution of flavor nuance as the result of intangible aging conditions, however long it takes. The characteristics of each batch are unique and likely not reproducible. With no added flavors or adjuncts, we are getting notes of toffee, butterscotch, caramel, bourbon soaked dates, dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla.

Black Mamba was named for one of the world's most dangerous creatures with an unmistakable pitch black mouth, and this beer does not carry the name lightly. While slightly smaller than the King Cobra and slightly less venomous than the Inland Taipan, its unmatched speed and aggression are why many experts have named the Black Mamba the most deadly snake on the planet.
