A Christmas beer of double fermentation, dark, copper-brown coloured beer. The finish is wonderfully balanced with aromatic bitterness.

At Kerstbierfestival 2015. Pours unclear caramel brown. Small white head. Smell is sweet -spiced. Taste is sharp, bit sweet, malty, bit metallic. Not too bad in general. just common, bit sweet, and a rather thin MF. OK.

Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Clear amber color, average sized off-white head. Smells and tastes like a standard Christmas beer imo: malts, sweetness, a bit sugary, slightly alcohol. Safe bet, but not bad.

Thank you! Sampled bottled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Deep amber red. Nose is industrial overly slick, herbal, licorice, cloves, sweet leaves, burned cough syrup. Fizzy, thin, overly processed. Fizzy nature obstructs the taste ,industrial cough syrup & licorice, light fish guts, burned sugar, sweet malt. Everything you would expect from an industrial Belgian Christmas beer which is not a good thing.

Quite a good Belgian strong dark ale, notes of caramel, prunes, dried fruit (figs, raisins) and alcohol.
