They are calling this a Schwarzbier now on their menu, FWIW. Tap. Pours deep clear Ruby black, medium beige head, good lacing. Aroma is super roasty, lactose, a bit ashy. Flavor has a touch too much sweetness, light bitterness. A bit odd. Stale coffee? Light plus body.

Can from sledutah who helped me gather a bunch of these strange brews I was after. Cherry brownish black pour. Nose is dried fruit light cola. Tastes of flat cola, dried red fruits like cherry and raspberry, some caramel, and bread as well. Light bodied. Yippee 15 dunklers

I haven’t had a lot of dunkler bocks but this isn’t quite what I look for in a beer. Tangy odd aroma with copper. Amber pour with good head and lacing. Bottle.
