Poured into a snifter showing moderately filtered honey amber with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows malts with hints of resinous hops on the edges. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of resinous hops with a strong hoppy bitterness on the finish. A slightly overhopped IIPA. Malts appearing on the end.

Bottle courtesy of iphonephan, thank you! Clear bright golden amber color, fluffy white head. Nice aroma of tropical fruit and pineapple. Taste is bittersweet tropical fruit. Very nice. My 100th rating from Idaho, thanks Dick!

Bomber bought at Costco of all places. Aroma is somewhere in the vicinity of bland, English IPA, worty homebrew, and old, although the rep who sold me on it assured me it was fresh*; it’s sweet, worty as previously mentioned, creamed corn, perfume. Pours hazy orange with a thick cream-colored head with excellent retention and lace. Taste is caramel malt sweet backed by some fairly high bitterness; tastes like a thin barleywine more than a DIPA. Has a somewhat numbing menthol character to it. The hops listed are American, but other than the more pronounced bitterness, it tastes English to me. Not impressed.
*Although the rep said their beers are guaranteed to be 90 days or less old on the shelf, I wonder if he knew what he was talking about.

Revisit again, 4/12/2020 - Bottle from Albertsons. Deep golden body, persistent creamy head, rings of lacing. Caramel aroma with a hoppy edge. Taste flips this, moving the hops up front, sharp and biting, piney with a nice undercurrent of sweet caramel malts. Pretty smooth. Prior: 3.5 - Nice looking pour, high frothy head, leaves sticky coating on glass. Nice hoppy aroma, but a bit gentle for an IIPA. Taste picks up the pace a bit, piny hoppiness, and finish ups the ante with a sharp bite and some warmth. Decent beer. Earlier Rating: 5/15/2014 Total Score: 3.9 Nice smooth double, medium amber with thin head, good lacing. Bitterness embraces but doesn’t overpower. Astringent and long finish.

Draught @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours brown with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of malt caramel, light wood, nuts, some fruity hops, light citrus. Flavor is light sweet, malt, caramel bitter fruity hops, citrus, pine, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, lasting dry and bitter finish. 110915

Tap @ Edge, served in a small snifter. Amber reddish color with a finger of creamy head. Rich hop profile; floral and resin, citrus. Deep hop flavor with light maltiness. Very unified in flavor, velvet smooth. It’s got the hops and bitters, but easy to sip. This was easily the star of the show tonight.

On Tap at the Boise BP most clear orangish light amber. Chunky blocky off-white head leaving clumpy lacing. Nice big fresh most piney hop aroma. Not a huge hop flavor but balanced nicely and would not have guessed the 10% ABV. Soft but serious IBU bite in the trailer. Palette was not particularly smooth, appropriately soft carbonation A drinkable double.
