This high-gravity Wheat Ale is brewed with blood orange juice, grapefruit & tangerine peels. This special ale is brewed with 35% Wheat & 3 types of hops.

We made this one obviously refreshing. It features Tropical citrus and grapefruit aromas from Mosaic hops along with the addition of over 4 & a half pounds per barrel of grapefruit & tangerine peels. And to get extra juicy, we ferment with blood orange juice concentrate.

Not overly bitter, this brew sits around 30 IBU and its nice citrus pith rounds out the bitterness. Residual sweetness helps accentuate the fruity character and masks the 8.5% ABV well. Enjoy straight up or served on the rocks with soda & wedge of fresh fruit. We’ve loved it with simple syrup & a shot of our favorite spirit.

Bottle. A- Grapefruit, orange, slightly soapy. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grapefruit, orange, soapy, bitter, booze. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly astringent finish. O- Maybe the first Southern Tier beer I haven't loved. Lots of citrus, primarily grapefruit. Pretty natural tasting and a hint of alcohol. In fact, this almost tasted more like a cocktail. Once I read the description, I can see why they would say this can be drank on the rocks with a shot of alcohol. It already tastes like that. Decent, but not the typical fruited wheat beer.

Tap at ellicotville bemus. Not much co2. Lots of grapefruit and orange on the palate. Stronger and volatile in nature. Difficult and medicinal in the middle. Grapefruit and orange nose as well. Not nice. Really lets you know its over 8%.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy orange type color, thin lasting white head. Aroma is a metric butt ton of grapefruit and citrus peel, jeez!! He first sip show grapefruit peel, followed by grapefruit peel. The finish shows mild tangerine and grapefruit peel.

Shows lighter body with a bitter grapefruit finish. Does anybody else taste grapefruit in this brew? Just in case I forgot to mention it, lots of grapefruit.

Sample at Bob’s Bar. Clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Citrus, wheat and malt aroma, Medium body with flavors of tangerine, wheat and doughy malt. The finish is citrusy with a wheaty aftertaste, Decent overall.
