This delicate beer is crafted by blending carefully selected bourbon barrel-aged lagers, resulting in a timeless brew with a clean, roasted character that seamlessly integrates with the nuanced notes of oak, bourbon, and vanilla from the barrel aging process. We recommend serving it at a temperature of approximately 14C for the best experience.

From backlog. 0,44 litre Can, from Vinmonopolet Lillehammer, at a Christmas Party. Almost Black with some beige head. Roasted malts, hops, yeast, Caramel, Chocolate, bourbon, barrel. Nice

Can. An almost black one, topped by a dense beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has a pleasant woody note, vanilla and coconut notes, with roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate in the back. It’s full-bodied and warming, nicely carbonated and semi-sweet, with a gentle bitterness. Roasted maltscoffee, toffee, dark dried fruit and a good dash of booze and wood flavors. Long finish. A bit boozy, but nice indeed. 231125

8-4-8-4-16 Can, #477, three weeks after canning. Pours dark brown, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with bread, Turkish coffee, nuts and tobacco, as well as vanilla, bourbon and wooden barrels. Smooth medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with bread, sweet coffee, brown sugar and dark fruits, as well as vanilla, tannins and bourbon barrels. Possibly a touch too heavy on the barrel notes, but very pleasant, smooth and quaffable.

0,44 boks fra Statens gledesavdeling på Kilden, hjemme etter endt tapping av årets juleøl (kaffestout med nybrent Gesha, levert av Petro): brunsvart med fint men kortvarig skum. Nydelig aroma og smudiknudi smak av mørke karamellchokolader, vanilje/eik, bourbon og røstet malt. Sofistikert drikke i dobbeltbock- segmentet, verdt hver eneste pensjonistkrone.
