I used to drink this from bottles for a change of pace when I was transitioning to non crap beer. It?s OK by mass market standard.

Bottle. Very dark brown color. Average head. Taste is a mild, watery caramel taste. Aroma is slightly burnt sugar.

Occasionally I will make my own black and tans. This time I have a 12 oz bottle of Black & Tan from Yuengling. I have pulled out my Buffalo Bayou tulip glass for the tasting and the pour is a dark brown with some highlights at the edges followed by a thin top of creamy light tan foam. The scent is heavy with chocolate and grain. The taste is even better, malt, more of the chocolate, some woodiness and earth. Equal small amounts of sweet and bitter. Okay, but I like the ones I make with Guinness more.

0,33 bottle. The beer was sent by an acquaintance, which I thank you very much. Traditional label with dark brown beer color in dark brown. I also had quite a bit of foam when filling, which completely disappeared afterwards, the wort had a more oily effect. The smell of cola, roasted malt, coldly restrained. It looked like I was drinking a big dose of Unicum :) Carbonation is okay, body is a bit low, but not wet. Real port stuff, the sailors changed their mouth to sour, bitter-coffee from all over the USA from 1829 :) It has a caramel, coffee flavor, especially if we let it warm up. It was actually a little too carbonated for me too, so I was weird about the little foam. It’s basically a cola, sweet, average - but not bad - porter. Nice to meet you.

A sört egy ismerős küldte, amit nagyon szépen köszönök. Hagyományőrző szép címke, a sör színe mély-olajos-kólás sötét barna. Igazi kikötői cucc, a matrózok szájízét savanykás, kesernyés-kávésra változtatta 1829-től USA szerte :) Van benne karamelles, kávés ízhatás, főleg ha hagyjuk melegedni. Nekem igazából kicsit túl szénsavas is volt, ezért furcsálltam a kevés habot. Alapjában egy kólás, édeskés, átlagos - de nem rossz - porter. Örülök a találkozásnak.
