7.6/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
Though it says on here that this is a fruit beer/radler, the bitterness comes across too high to me in the flavor, so this is rated as an APA.
Bottom of the can stamped 05/01/2015 (I’m guessing that’s born on).
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy bronzed yellow color. A one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving a messy lacing roaming all over the glass.
The smell had a sharp bitter and sweet grapefruit pith bringing in a slight zestiness in the rind part. A light lemon also displays a nice underneath balance, semi-sweet yet carrying a decent bitterness to it.
The taste carries the bitter and the sweet over and under and intertwining absolutely fantasticly. There’s no aftertaste nor finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation seems decent for the style and for me. Bitterness displays an appropriate level as an APA.
Overall, I say this is an APA, but will wait to see more reviews to see others’ thoughts. Still, its a wonderful offering by Spring House well worthy of partaking in the Summer months.

Grapefruit presence and slight hop to it. Real sessionable. Thanks Ed from Springhouse.
