Bottle. Thanks Davido. Pineapple juice, not exciting. Low sourness, can't find the habanero. Boring! Spicy burp though.

Bottle: Poured a golden with white frothy head. Aroma is garden peppers and light fruit. Taste is sweet forward fruit, with a peppery habanero spice middle and burn at the back.

Sampled from the tap at the Happy Gnome. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart light pineapple with a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor is similar with light tart pineapple, a touch of tropical fruits and a light sweet grain backbone.

lots of haze. Almost no nose. Very little flavor and lacks much flavor. Super boring for what it is.

Bottle from AEON Liquors, I got enchanted with the word "sour" on the label. Pours clear golden, bit of foam, OK lacings. Aroma has a bit of grainy feel to it, some vegetables, just a hint of something sourish. Maybe something like gose? Well, only "maybe" it is. Not really sour, just a baby step into that direction. It does have some sort of pineapple juicy thing going on and a slight peppery feel at the back of my throat proves that they have indeed used some peppers. Other than that not really what I expected it to be. Or well, in hindsight "pineapple habanero sour" already sounded too good, just a gimmick. Can still drink it but half-wishing I had chosen something else from the store.

Cloudy blond color, small head. The aroma is not very interesting, some vegetable and meat. Smooth mouthfeel, moderate acidity, light fruity touch, but not identified as pineapple, no habanero. Short but juicy final.
I can’t find a purpose for this beer, but it’s not too bad.

Sampler from AEON liquor Asagaya. Light green pineapple on the nose. More pineapple and lemon on the palate. Soft carbonation. A tiny bit of pepper on the finish. It’s not really tart, not really spicy. Is quite bland really. Another failed beer, imported and dumped on Japan. Just not good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hawaiian Sunburn on 23 Apr 2016 at 16:00 - Score: 5. Original review text: Not really sour. Not really spicy. Not much flavor. Pointless import strikes again.

Elysian Hawaiian Sunburn 5.3% A pineapple habenero sour I got as a birthday gift. The nose is juicy tropical fruits featuring pineapple and an earthy spice component I guess comes from the habenero. It pours a beautiful gold with a medium body. The taste delivers a fairly neutral heat, pineapple juice, some soda bread/crackers and a lactic tartness. The heat is noticeable in my stomach. A fun beer, not something you'd drink a ton of but a cool way to mix things up. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold with light head. Light aromas of toasted malts and burnt metal. Light flavors of a fruity golden ale with a bit of Belgian yeast and very light pepper. Not offensive but so light I question the intent. Certainly not sour.

Draft at Black Squirrel. Hazy pale yellow color. Aroma of subtle pineapple. Taste is light pineapple, subtle pepper. I got excited when I saw the ingredients, but this beer is boring.
