Bottle: Bright golden pour with a smallish white cap. Aroma is very mild… a faint mustiness and light hints of sour wheat. I think I can imagine pineapple juice… Taste is again mild. Soft and lacking carbonation. A little sour wheat and more of the imagination enhanced pineapple juice. Very slight element of heat. Very slight. At least the pineapple does come do life a little in the tail as it warmed. Overall this is a very soft and mild effort.

Draft/Fest. A- Bland. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, subtle pepper, citrus. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- I guess when you sellout the beer gets bad. The pineapple was little more than a soft citrus and there was a bit of heat. The smell was basically non existent and overall it was very bland.

22oz bottle picked up from Costco for $3.29. Pours out a hazy gold topped with a small head. nose is pretty much like a basic berliner a touch of the pineapple and citrus. Taste is more light tart berliner touch of fruit and the heat is on the very end at the back of your throat.

Bottle from Dmitri. Light body and pungent aroma of a sour, but habanero s are very far in the background. Pineapples also a minor note. Light sour, close to Berliner weisse.

Draft at the Collective. I’m only rating this because beastiefan2k did, and my master plan was to rip his opinion to shreds. Though my language is cleaner, I might barely see what he is talking about. Pours a cloudy peach color with a white foam head. First off, I love pepper beers for the heat and pepper flavor. This had neither for me. No heat to speak of. If I hear habenero in a beer name, I hope for some pepper heat. Maybe some pours different then others. Grainy, slight fruit aroma. Orange fruit flavor with a sweet finish. The flavor here is far from bad, so I can’t hate on the beer for what it is. However, what it is, is far from what it is advertised as. Hoped for a spicy beer with a tangy sweet twist, and ended up with a juicy orange fruit beer, that tastes alright. Cant lie to myself here. I got no pepper here. Disappointed. This beer is like a movie that all the good footage was not shown in theaters. And I saw it in the theater.

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma almost tastes salty, with notes of spicy peppers and a hint of pineapple. Flavour is very restrained in all departments, not giving off much pineapple, habanero or sour elements. Just some subtle tartness, with hints of each of these elements. Nothing very interesting here, but it's inoffensive. Meh.

Draft - Light pineapple fruit and a touch of tartness. Clear gold with a decent white head. Fruity, light sweet and sour notes. Not bad, but not enough oomph anywhere.

Bomber bought at the grocery store. Aroma is pineapple, minerals. Pours hazy golden with a collapsing white head that laces a little. Taste is lightly tart (4/10 on a sour scale) and a mild heat is provided by the peppers. Body is thin and the mouthfeel is watery. This isn’t quite Shock Top level pandering to the masses, but it’s somewhat disappointing. This is a recipe that could have had real potential. I really think they dumbed it down for the masses and/or AB bigwigs. That being said, it’s easy to drink. It could have been so much more, though!

FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, ABInbev. Why oh why oh why do I fall for your shit. Affordable, six pack, sour, pepper, beer - well this is my weak spot. I will NEVER ever ever ever buy another Elysian product. How do you make a pineapple, habanero, sour beer that has no flavor of pineapple or habenero and not sour. Its acidulated malt tartness on a flabby, muddled malt base. I would never in my wildest dreams pick up "pineapple" or "habanero" in the flavor. FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
