Keg at the Queens Head - London. Pours mostly clear, deep amber with a slight, creamy head. The aroma is straight vinegar, acetone and tart berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with sharp acetic bite, more potent vinegar, lemon, berries, a little butter. Medium bodied, oily, with spritzy carbonation. Sharp finish with cutting acetic twang, burning acid, lots more vinegar. Not at all drinkable, or nuanced, or acceptable. This is an abomination.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Almost clear dark red - brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Nose of balsamic vinegar and cherry. Palate is slightly viscous with good fine carbonation. Taste follows the nose and adds savoury notes and lemon acid. Intensely sour cherry and a trace of wood on the back end. It burns on the way down. A few mouthfulls was all I could manage, gave the rest of the glass to some Americans that were at the bar asking about sour. How anyone could get pleasure from this is beyond me, the palates at BFM must be burned out! Much too sour and bloody hard work.
