Zorok Lager can of beer picked up at a convenience store in Ho Chi Minh for about 10000 dong. Drunk at the airport. Fizzy gold with a fast dissipating head. The nose is sweet sugary light malts and cabbage. The taste is sickly sweet, somewhat cream soda like, vegetal, with some hop presence in the finish. Light bodied. I can see how this may appeal to some people but it is just too sweet and soda like for me.

Pale golden coloured body with a thick two centimetre tall pale white head. Aroma of light fruits, metal, malt and a little rice. Light-bodied; Pungent and sweet fruity flavour with a little malt, earth and citrus flavour as well. Aftertaste shows more fruit and sweet notes that coupled with the dry malt, present a nice flavour compared with other beers from the region. Overall, a decent pale lager with some fruity and sweet notes aside from the typical rice and metallic flavours. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from HaLong Bay Supermarket in HaLong Bay, Vietnam in August 2010.

33cl can shared with Alexgc. Pours light golden with a small white head. Aroma of cooked vegetables (corn?) and light malt. Sweet, watery and a bit unpleasant. Half a can was more than enough. One of the worst South-East Asian lagers I have tasted so far. Yet another cheap pale industrial lager, but this one is hardly drinkable in my opinion. (2012-05-11)

What do you get when you add a crappy asian beer to an american grain chemical company? Zorok! Crisp papery taste. Drank in a can on the train between Hue and Nha Trang
