It's that time once again, when we shine a light on one of our favourite hops. The Big I am is a juicy, hazy IPA and a full on Idaho 7 celebration. Layered with complexity and bursting with vibrant hop character. It opens with an aromatic blast of tropical fruit, candied pineapple, and stone fruit. On the palate is a wave of resinous pine, ripe mango, and subtle citrus zest as well as peach rings, passion-fruit, and freshly cut melon, rounded out with a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel and a soft bitterness.

44cl can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pale brilliant yellow, hazy, with fine white foam. Aroma is mostly citrus, grapefruit, a little tropical and well. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter. Just a hint of fruity sweetness behind. Final is average.

Can from Tempest online. It pours lightly hazy yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, ripe pineapple, peach, apricot, persimmon, tinned fruit cocktail, lychee, melon, touch green, weedy abs herbal. The taste is firmly dry, nip of bitterness, green, weedy, piney, pithy, zesty, tangy citrus fruits, lemon - lime, greengage, super ripe melon, touch of peppery spice and some floury bread with a lingering pithy finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Quite bright and fruity. Flavourful. Nice one.
