Time flies as they say, and we have reached the twentieth edition of our boundary pushing Abstrakt series of beers. It is going to be one for the ages too, as we are going to the metaphorical town on AB20. We have brewed a coffee milk English barley wine, and have blended this with an equally stunning barrel-aged imperial stout. So think liquid tiramisu, backed by a rich and decadent layer of warming alcohol. And much more besides.

Semmi hab, vöröses fekete szín. Kávés, rumos illatvilág. Kávés, pörköltmalátás alappal indít, majd fokozatosan erősödő rumos aromával tör a csúcsra, aztán egy hosszú kissé alkoholos ízkomponenssel cseng le és az egész fölött végig egy vaskos tölgyfahordós, vaníliás aroma lebeg. Nagyon testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű és némileg csersavas. Nagyon finom desszertsör, jó arányokkal és egyensúllyal.

Bottle at Uiltje. Dark red brown color. Aroma of booze, chocolate, raisin and caramelised malt. Flavor of raisin, caramelised malt, rum booze, chocolate and a nice subtle spicey kick. Nice tasty dessert.

Mørk brun klar med lavt beige skum. Lukter trevirke, nøtter og noe kaffe. Søtlig smak, lett brent karamell, svisker og krydder. Middels lang.

50cl bottle with a really long, annoying cork. Pours a transparent garnet amber, no head, no legs. Nose is big with booze, caramel and greenish coffee bean, cake icing, heavy Armagnac. Flavor is tannic with black tea, boozy with brandy and Armangnac, caramel, some pear, coffee, a little green bell pepper. Boozy, tannic finish. Tough. A bit too much.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Nice dark red amber color with virtually no head. Aroma is malts, sweetish, toffee and some alcohol. Taste malts, some alcohol, dried overripe dark fruit and rum. Medium body, average carbonation. Nice but a bit on the sweet sugary side.

Bottle @ benzai. Brown colour with a small off-white head. Smells sweet, moldy, alcohol. Tastes very sweet, malty, raisins. Like a really old extra heavy barley wine.

Dark brown colour, minimal beigeish head; aroma of nougat, coffee, dark chocolate, herbal liqueur, hints of vanilla, dried fruits and raisins; taste is syrupy with the same notes and hoppy bitterness in the background; spicy alcoholic aftertaste; a bit too syrupy otherwise good
