Draft at the source. Clear amber color, thick white head with good retention and lacing. Light caramel aroma. Taste is bitter pepper and caramel.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a near clear deep copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The mild aroma is vaguely malty and a biscuity minerals sort of mixture. The taste starts with some sweet fruity esters, a dash of roasted malts, a modest pine hoppiness and then a blend of biscuit malts an herbal sense and minerals. Interesting and it doesn’t seem to work too well for me.
