Draft pour at Taphouse. IPA week. Pours a nice copper color with a very faint hop aroma. Ton of lacing. Floral hop flavor with a small hint of pepper spice. Solid tasting IPA, and definitely a little different. Enjoying this beer

I had this on tap at Hangar on the Wharf. I’m so glad to finally see Glacier Brewhouse beers here in Juneau.
I got this served in a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice murky light brown to orange color with a nice settling one finger white foamy head that ends up leaving a decent amount of somewhat foamy lacing.
The smell was extremely dank and old bitter citrusy hops with an adequate amount of spices thrown in there.
The taste was eerily dank and bitter. There’s no sweetness in this beer. It had a very long bitter aftertaste leaving a very dry finish.
On the palate, it sits about a medium to heavy, interesting for an AIPA, but I’m not too concerned because I’m thinking this brewery intended for this by looking at the color of it. I’m not really finding this to be too sessionable either. The carbonation seems to be there - slightly harsh but just enough to classify it as an AIPA as there is an aspect that tones it down as the beer warms.
Overall, it fits the AIPA style and I like how the ’dankness’ pervades through some of the aspects of this beer. However, its an AIPA that seems to stand by itself as I found one that probably wouldn’t go too well with food.

Very hazy golden copper coloured body with large bubbles (pulled) and some small bubbles rising rapidly from the bottom. Aroma of fresh grapefruit and piney hops - very nice, especially on cask. Medium-bodied; Chewy citrus and hop flavours at first. A nice mellow aftertaste of malt, caramel and a lot of hop bitterness is also there - nice! Overall, a good start to beers at Glacier and a solid IPA, especially on cask! I sampled this pint on draught/cask at the brewpub in Anchorage, Alaska on 26-June-2010.

A hazed blonde IPA with a thin creamy lacing off white head. In aroma, a smooth floral hops, pinhey and restrained, over biscuit malt. In mouth, a nice grassy citrusy hops over caramel malt, light pink grapefruits, not bad. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 9 2011.

From a 64oz growler flown back from Alaska and given to me by a friend. Poured into a shaker. Color is a hazy golden orange. Small amount of bright white head that slowly dissipates and leaves good lacing. Aroma is heavily hoppy. Citrus and grassy. Also slightly fruity. Mandarin orange or apricot. Taste is heavily bitter. Lightly sweet and lightly sour on the aftertaste. Medium to almost full bodied, it has a oily and slick texture. Soft carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, it’s a pretty damn good beer. This would be perfect with a big plate of BBQ and a side of tater salad. If I ever make it up to Alaska, I’ll definitly have to stop in this place and try it again. Good thing I still have 50oz of goodness left in the growler!

On tap at Bottleworks, pours copper with a small white head. Aroma of hops, biscuit and a little ginger (?). Flavour reveals more of that ginger, coriander, biscuit and hops. Quite different and nice.
