Bottle, thanks Eddan. Almost black with a tan head. A lot of coffee grounds both in the aroma and taste. Also notes of hops, chocolate and some cocoa. Fairly sweet but quite nice.

Got in a trade with TheFugitive. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/27/2013. Pours pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of milk chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, raisin, toast, dark bread, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and the vanilla/cocoa/coffee notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, toast, dark bread, and roasted earthiness. Slight roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, toast, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of roasted/dark malts with the cocoa/coffee/vanilla flavors; with big flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very creamy and moderately slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice milk stout. All around good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and vanilla/cocoa/coffee flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with medium to big tan head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, pumpernickel, bread, licorice, ash and raw sugar. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of coffee, licorice, milk chocolate and ash. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Maybe a bit thin for the style, otherwise nice.

Purchased at West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at night prepping for a move which results in stress eating and drinking a little too much. This stuff is awesome! Batch #118. Appearance is a creamy pitch black with a very rich and frothy tan head. Aroma is fantastic with huge vanilla, chocolate notes, as well as a slight bitterness of coffee and a slight abrasiveness of cocoa. Taste is fantastic, super easy to drink and not too sweet, the cocoa nibs add an interesting complexity, mixes very well with the vanilla and coffee. Would happily enjoy again!

Opaque black - brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Moderate carbonation. Sweetish dark malts, just a touch of roast. A little dark chocolate. Nicely balanced vanilla. Mild fruity tang and a whisper of coffee. Semi dry finish with a chocolatey malt aftertaste. East drinking.
