Honey, clove nose. Clear pale yellow. Dry honey, cardamom, yeast, clove. Light body, easy carbonation, warm. Tasteful spicing. I would like to have seen a stronger vanilla presence.

12oz can from CBC H Street pours a clear gold with basically no head. Nose has plenty of clove, cinnamon and vanilla, honey and perfume too, some candlewax. There’s an earthy note which must be the cocoa. Flavor is sweet, earthy, a little soil, honey, clove is big here, vanilla, a little cream soda. Finishes sweet. Interesting.

Sampled on draft this mead poured a very pale yellow color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was honey, butterscotch and cacao. The flavor was tart with honey, orange blossom, faint butterscotch and cacao. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Decent.
