Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a nice fruit hit of hops with a cracker dry malt and some of the yeast esters are also giving off a fruity vibe. Flavor is again a super tropical fruit with some white pepper and grain malt. Finishes with some effervescent carbonation and a bit of warming alcohol. This was a wonderful triple. Lots of fruity hop flavor with German hops and very yeasty and dry.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 5/2016. Cork shot off to the ceiling right as I uncaged it. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon, tangerine, apricot, pear, apple, light banana/bubblegum, peppercorn, coriander, clove, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, tangerine, apricot, pear, apple, banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, coriander, clove, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, tangerine, apricot, pear, apple, banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, clove, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity and robustness of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome yeast/malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible spiced tripel style. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle - lightly hazy straw - lively pour - love the choice of hops here - they lend a lovely citric pop to the nose that compliments the lightly spicy phenols, mild esters, and softly sweet malt profile - soft but full texture - flavor is medium sweet, moderately bitter, with a lovely spiciness and dry and moderately bitter finish - subtle tropical fruit and citrus throughout, but the finish has a lovely spice and dry bitterness that is uncommon in American versions of the style - excellent.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Hoboken Vine, 8/20/15
Aroma: The aroma is heavy spice, yeast, a little bubblegum, banana notes, and a little peach.
Appearance: A murky orange color with a thick and foamy off-white head, heavy, foamy lace.
Flavor: The fruitiness comes through a bit more in the flavor, but it's still kind of subtle. Peach/tropical fruity, some banana, a little sweet early, the finish gets fairly bitter, spicy.
Palate: The mouthfeel here is fairly fizzy, but still drinks pretty well, with a fairly dry close.
Overall Impression: Happy Belgian Independence Day (apparently it's October first, I had to google it, so I'm a bit early)! I liked how the dry hopping played with the underlying Tripel style beer. Definitely doesn't get cloying, which can occasionally be a problem for me with Tripels. Generally this would be a little too carbonated for me, but I thought it worked pretty well here. The more I drink of this the more I like it. Definitely grows on you. At 9.2% and with a high carbonation level one might guess this would be a difficult one to go solo on a 750, but it really isn't. Could be dangerous.

Sample at the Roswell Ale Yeah! Hazy, bubbly yellow, with a nice sized, fluffy, white head. Bright nose of tangerines, butterscotch, cloves, and some fresh cut grass. Sweet flavor, with a mild and pleasant bitterness. There is a touch of spice, and just a little citrusy tartness. Light to medium body, acidic and crisp, lively, with a clean finish. This is a very well balanced, tasty, and refreshing beer.

C&C 750 mL bottle from Beer Run. Explosive cap would have hit the ceiling had I not caught it. No gusher though. Hazy straw yellow, large foamy off-white head, fair head retention. Aroma of candi sugar, earthy and piney hops. The taste is earthy, piney hops, bready malt, candi sugar. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Overhopped, largely killing the tripel characteristics.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Candi and mild banana aromas. Sharp with banana yeast upfront turning dry and warm in the lasting candi and malt finish.
