Bottle, thanks Tim E. Nice, fruity, orange and tropical. Nice. Good stuff. Near the end of the tasting so notes are limited.

Nice copper coloured body with a bright orange and bronze glow, all with a thick, five centimetre tall tan head on top. Aroma of grass and very resinous hops with a good deal of bitterness and some herbal and perfumey characteristics near the end. Medium-bodied; Proper balance of malt which is noticeable at first with some resinous and very grassy hops moving through and ending on more of a piney bite with the bitterness coming at the end. Aftertaste is smooth but bitter with hops, more hops and nothing but the hops - a good malt backbone, but no sugars or earth or anything too offsetting from the hops. Overall, a pretty good beer with a noticeable hop bite and a good malt balance throughout, just not enough room for any other complex flavours - this is solely about the hops. Nice to sample and if you like hops, worth room in your suitcase given there generally aren't too many local Hawaiian beers that you can bring home from the islands. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Safeway in Kapahului, O'ahu, Hawaii on 28-December-2016 for US$10,49 sampled at home in Washington across half the Pacific and the whole of the USA on 30-September-2017 after running a half marathon training for the USMC Marathon.

Good but seemingly very muted hop profile. Citrus and some light pine. Medium malt sweetness. Very light bitterness in the finish. It’s tasty and all but a very light IPA.

Bottle. Grass, grapefruit, some biscuits and spices in the nose. Slightly sweet with a touch of caramel, some pine. Rounded and balanced with medium bitterness. Good but not outstanding.
