Notes from 4/28/19 Bottle from the local ABC in Maui. Rounded wine glass on the balcony of our hotel in Kauai. Brown on black. Lingering cocoa head. Smells of soy sauce, au jus, light coffee. Tastes of bakers chocolate, chalk, watery coffee, soy sauce, hint of vanilla. Well carbonated, light dusty body, finishes dry. Less soy sauce would have worked out better.

Bottle, shared by mansquito. Pours black with a huge white head and a hefty explosion. Fruit, red fruit, chocolate, toast. Little thin and overcarbonated. Fine.

Bottle. Thanks Tim. Aroma is roasty, soy sauce, a bit tart. Fruity. Taste is good, chocolatey, roast, only coconut hint, cola, high carb. Interesting.

Draft. Blackish beer with a tan head. Caramel aroma. Caramel and coconut flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Caramel and coconut linger with malt and light chocolate.

Big and black with a light tan head. Roasted malts, espresso, chocolate, some sweet malt, and a bit of earth throughout. Finishes with a bit of a bite, encouraging another sip. A really well done porter.
