From can to glass. Pours clear brown-red with khaki head that fades completely. Flavor and aroma are rich malt and breast.

Not much of a dunkel. Orange clear pour without a hint of darkness. Some rust but not much else in the area of an actual dunkel. Tangy finish. Tap at brewery.

Draft at PreFunk. Hazy copper color, small skin of head. Caramel, brown bread aroma. Taste too features these, a bit weaker than the native German style. Still excited to see this in the US.

On tap at Stateside Craft, pours a clear copper / amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity upfront, with toasted nuts in back - substantial sweetness. Flavour is similar, though thankfully not as fruity - bringing out dark fruits, toffee and toasted nuts to dry things out a bit. A little sweeter than typical dunkels, but it works. Decent one.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber to mahogany color, bright and clean, with small creamy head. The aroma tends to be sweeter and more caramelly than German Dunkels. The mouthfeel is dry and rather weak; it has some caramel flavor, but it terribly lacks of depth; low bitterness somehow. It has some breadish impression.
Too simple.

Draught. Clear brown pour, thin head, moderate lacing. Malty aroma. Sweet malty flavour, but not too sweet. Malt finish with a bit of bite.
