Tap at Craft CG, Smoky, more grodziskie than gose feel. Light toffee and sourness. Refreshing but not 100% for me. Light fruit, but the smoke gives it a bit of a rubbery taste.

Appearance is a clear Amber with a very short-lived small fuzzy head and no lace. Aroma is wet grain fruit malt in a bit tart. Flavor’s similar to nose with tartness up front Carbonic tang, slight sweetness decent carbonation fairly tasty. Good body. Nice finish. Better than what I thought when I poured it.

Briney and tart nose of crabapple. Shimmering golden, thin head. Extremely tart, lightly smoky, crabapples. Less salty on the palate than the nose. Juniper in the finish would have gone undetected if I was not thinking about it. Light to medium body, soft carbonation which isn’t apparent given the level of tartness. It confuses the senses. I want to call this a lichtenhainer, but the addition of salt and juniper which aren’t prominent probably disqualifies it as such. I really would have loved more of a juniper presence.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep yellow with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of wheat supported by light tart fruits, a bit of juniper and a touch of sweetness. Flavor is more sour with light fruit, some acid and a wheat backbone.

Pours a very light, pale, yellow-gold, with no head to speak of, really. Aroma is a bit sour, a bit salty, almost like an ocean breeze. Flavor is pretty complicated. I can taste some salt, there’s quite a bit of sour fruit. some lemon, a fairly acidic aftertaste, all of which becomes more pronounced as beer warms. Interesting, though maybe not my favorite beer style.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle. Clear straw color, with small fizzy white head that disappears after a few seconds. Aroma of mild wheat, spice, sour apple. A bit fruity (juniper?) Taste is wheat, touch of salt, lemon, herbs. Rather tart. Low carbonation. Light-bodied. Refreshing

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orangey yellow with a tiny head. Aroma is heavy on the peat, with smoke upfront, followed by salt, and woody notes. Flavour is well-balanced, with a lovely mix of smoke and salt, with a touch of the juniper. Clean and highly drinkable. Very nice.
